Evidence Based Therapeutic Drumming
Therapeutic Drumming with Gina Vance reduces stress, boosts morale and the immune system, and promotes teamwork.
The program is based upon the HealthRHYTHMS® protocol developed from medical research that shows the health benefits of drumming with a group, including stress reduction, mood improvement and a boost to the immune system.
HealthRHYTHMS® was developed after leading neurologist and mind-body researcher Barry Bittman, MD, led a renowned research team in the first biological study on the effects of group drumming in 2000. Subsequent published research supports the program.

See what class participants are saying:
"When Gina visited our transitional program and lead a Health Rhythms Drumming class it really had a great impact on our residents. They came into the group feeling anxious, reserved, and uncomfortable with the unknown. Gina was able to take measure of their stress levels before the class started and then again afterwards. The results were amazing! Almost all of the residents stress levels went down! It was amazing to see their eyes brighten up. The stress melted away and I was able to see some of the residents smile and laugh for the first time."
Sara Boring, DIRECTOR OF VETERANS TRANSITIONAL PROGRAM, THE SALVATION ARMY, STANISLAUS COUNTY
"A important goal I made for myself in this program is to learn how to have patience. To learn to treat people with respect. To learn to always have a hand to help someone with and know that I will always be here for someone to lean on."
"If I could give a gift to someone in this group, I would give all the kids still on the street the privilege to participate in group drumming."
